Washington, DC is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive rail simulation digital model system, including both software and consulting services. The objective is to develop a detailed digital representation of the rail system to simulate and optimize rail operations.
The selected vendor will supply rail simulation software capable of modeling the existing track infrastructure, signaling systems, rail facilities, and rolling stock. The software will support the generation of regular and modified rail schedules, accommodating operational adjustments for special events or construction. Additionally, the vendor will facilitate the provision of two per-seat licenses and provide ongoing software support.
Consulting services will cover the creation and execution of a validation testing plan for all rail lines, as well as supporting data gathering on system infrastructure and rolling stock.
