The United States Army is soliciting innovative solutions for a lightweight, efficient, and man-packable CEMA system—the Radio Frequency Delivered Effects Platform Man Pack 2.0 (RDEP-MP2). The goal is a hardware platform weighing no more than 20 lbs (with an objective of 15 lbs) that can be operated and carried by a single soldier in both classified and unclassified environments. The system must seamlessly integrate general-purpose processing, specialized graphical processing units (GPUs), storage, networking, RF switching, software-defined radios (SDRs), field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), position/navigation/timing (PNT), tactical radio communications, and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs).

For mission flexibility, the platform must be modular, configurable, and optimized for dismounted operations at the tactical edge. Robust compute and network capabilities are required—including support for advanced processing, AI/ML tasks, and secure data backhaul via mesh or cloud relay networks for interoperability within the NGC2 architecture. Re-programmability using government furnished software frameworks such as Common Framework Environment (CFE) or Warped Alloy (WA) is essential, allowing rapid mission adaptation without the need to return to secure locations for updates.

The solution must feature an intuitive GUI, integrating with platforms like the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK), to enhance situational awareness and operator control. Additional requirements include remote over-the-air control of RF platforms, compatibility with U.S. Army IP-based communications, and full interoperability with established Army Programs of Record.
