Gloucester, Massachusetts seeks a qualified firm to provide professional engineering services for environmental and solid waste compliance monitoring at its former municipal landfill. This three-year contract involves comprehensive consulting services to ensure that the site remains compliant with applicable environmental regulations.

The selected firm will be responsible for collecting and analyzing groundwater and surface water samples during semi-annual monitoring events. Each event will require the collection of fourteen groundwater samples, six surface water samples, one duplicate groundwater sample, and one trip blank, totaling 22 samples per event. Groundwater levels will be measured in all monitoring wells, and field measurements will include pH, conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen using appropriate instrumentation.

Additional responsibilities include conducting trend analyses and evaluations of both groundwater and surface water quality, as well as assessing the existing dedicated sampling system during each semi-annual event. The goal is to provide thorough documentation and expert oversight to maintain environmental compliance at the site.
