A government authority in South Carolina is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional construction management at risk (CMaR) services for the additions and construction of civic and cultural buildings. The scope includes comprehensive pre-construction and construction management services, working collaboratively with the project architect/engineer throughout all stages.
The selected architect/engineer will be responsible for design services, the preparation of construction documents, site permitting, and limited construction observation. Initially, the construction document set will be developed to approximately 75% schematic design completeness and then refined in partnership with the CMaR firm to full completion. Responsibilities for the construction manager include thorough review of all design and construction documents, providing recommendations to the Town regarding value engineering, constructability, materials and equipment suitability, project scheduling, construction methods, and ensuring clear and coordinated documentation.
Additionally, the CMaR firm will conduct periodic and detailed cost estimates for the entire project and its phases, collaborating with the architect to resolve any differences. All interested parties must submit their questions by February 13, 2026.
