A vendor is sought to provide comprehensive placemaking and events management services in downtown Maryland. The selected vendor will take the lead on managing public art projects and beautification initiatives to cultivate a welcoming, visually engaging, and economically vibrant downtown atmosphere.

Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and execution of holiday lighting and programming, as well as coordinating a range of event planning activities throughout the year. The vendor will be responsible for recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers for events, supervising part-time event contractors, and working collaboratively with partnership staff to achieve strategic objectives.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners, city officials, and nonprofit partners will be essential to the success of this position. The goal is to ensure consistently high-quality results that enhance the downtown area’s appeal and community engagement.
