DESCRIPTION

The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner requires a contractor to provide pilot certification and training services, including ground and flight instruction for various ratings and endorsements such as Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, and Certified Flight Instructor. The contractor must operate a brick-and-mortar flight school within 10 miles of 4011 W. Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA 92833. The contract term is three years.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be an FAA certified Part 61 and/or Part 141 flight school
Must have a minimum of ten years of business experience providing pilot training and certification
Must have a brick-and-mortar place of business located within 10 miles of 4011 W. Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA 92833
Must employ flight instructors that are Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) and Certified Flight Instrument Instructors (CFII)
Must employ instructors with a minimum of three to five years of experience
Must have Cessna 172s in their fleet for license and rating training
Must have Citabrias, Decathlons, and/or Cessna 152 Aerobat for emergency maneuver training
Must hold a valid California State Contractor's License
