Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive payroll management software solution aimed at modernizing payroll processes, improving efficiency, and eliminating overlapping systems. The software should facilitate payroll processing and reporting, generate and track employees by unique identification numbers, and support the creation of multiple organizational units with divisions and department codes. It must also handle various earnings and deductions, allow for the creation and management of distinct payroll groups on different processing schedules, and support multiple employee group rules for pay codes such as standby, call-in, and shift premium.
Key features include automation of statutory holiday calculations, processing of retroactive and prior period adjustments, and seamless integration with the existing financial system and general ledger (ICity). The system should support automated annual calculation of paid entitlements according to policy, provide self-service functionality for employees and managers to view paystubs, balances, and update personal information, and enable electronic timesheet submissions for supervisory approval. Additional requirements include tracking overtime thresholds, recording multiple types of time off in a single day, delivering e-learning courses (both internal and external), and offering robust tracking and reporting capabilities for human resources and management.
