Key requirements include support for all major credit card networks (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), acceptance of ACH/E-check payments, and compatibility with a variety of card-present options such as magnetic stripe, EMV chip, and contactless/tap-to-pay methods. The software should also facilitate payments through mobile and digital wallets, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Venmo, and PayPal.

Secure data exchange is essential, with the ability to export transaction data in CSV, XLS, and PDF formats. The treasurer’s office must have the capability to suspend online payments by payment type, date range, or other criteria as needed, without requiring vendor assistance.
