DESCRIPTION

The City of Naperville requires a contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and expertise for the pruning of parkway trees. The project involves trimming approximately 10,000 trees per year, with work performed on a per-tree basis according to diameter classifications. KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least five years of experience providing tree trimming services
Must provide an equipment list for the project
Must provide references for at least three municipal or governmental tree trimming contracts in excess of 300 trees each within the last 5 years
Must have at least one Certified Arborist qualified by the International Society of Arboriculture on each job site at all times
Must submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid
Must obtain Performance and Payment Bonds
Must maintain required insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability ($2,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability ($2,000,000), and Workers' Compensation with Employers' Liability ($1,000,000)
Must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act
Must have a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program
