Illinois is seeking a qualified vendor to install and support a new Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) for a campus-wide implementation. The chosen partner will be responsible for delivering and installing all necessary lane equipment, cashier terminals, pay stations, and supporting infrastructure, as well as providing the software and comprehensive training required for a fully functional and PCI compliant system.
Project requirements include integration with remote access users, interfacing with pre-existing core and distribution network switches, and configuring wireless point-to-point connectivity for certain facilities. The vendor will be expected to provide detailed project schedules covering implementation, training, and testing, as well as phasing guidance for device installation, performance of acceptance testing, and public activation. Additional deliverables include wiring diagrams, identification of electrical and communication connection points, conduit and network pathways, system server locations, and samples of operational materials such as tickets and reports for approval.
A robust system backup and restore plan must be supplied, encompassing server and database endpoints. Schematic diagrams detailing communications among system components are also required to ensure integrative function and operational reliability.
