New York City is seeking a vendor to design and implement PantryLink Challenge Services, a participant-centered, scalable solution aimed at enhancing the City's emergency food assistance system. The assignment involves creating a voucher system that allows pantry providers to distribute vouchers to clients for the purchase of approved food items either online or in person.
The selected vendor will be responsible for issuing vouchers, managing voucher balances for purchases—including eligible items, delivery fees, taxes, and tips—and maintaining and updating the list of approved items as directed by the City. Additional responsibilities include onboarding participants selected by pantry providers, supporting clients with technical assistance on how to use their vouchers, and tracking both the activation and utilization of vouchers throughout the pilot program.
The contract will be awarded for a three-year period.
