Alberta is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive package tracking system to support its campus distribution services. The desired solution should be a proven and mature software platform, complemented by wireless devices, that enables the efficient and effective movement of incoming shipments to clients across multiple campuses.
Key requirements include carrier barcode recognition, automated package record creation, auto-population of received timestamps, digital signature capture, unattended delivery support, and automatic delivery timestamping. The system should support both wireless and wired syncing, real-time handheld synchronization, editable package records, attribute identification, configurable mandatory fields, and customizable record fields.
The vendor will be responsible for delivering all necessary training to end users, system administrators, and technical administrators, while ensuring the system remains up to date with current technologies and functionalities. The software must operate consistently during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. The initial contract period is three years.
