Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide the Oxford Economics Economic Modeling Platform to enhance its policy analysis capabilities. The required solution must include access to comprehensive macroeconomic forecasting databases and both provincial/territorial and global economic models. The platform should also facilitate participation in expert communities of practice.
The vendor will be responsible for granting access to Oxford Economics’ Canada Provincial/Territorial and Global Economic Models, delivering keystroke-level and advanced model training for up to five users, and supporting integration with agency and internal systems. Ongoing support must be available through a Toronto-based Canadian team, backed by a global network of over 400 economists and macroeconomic researchers.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of policy-relevant scenarios—such as those related to housing affordability and prefab industry growth—and supplying thorough documentation, including integration plans, security compliance materials, training certificates, and summary reports. A critical component is the inclusion of input-output impact tracing frameworks capable of quantifying GDP, employment, and sector productivity impacts resulting from housing and infrastructure policy changes, along with supporting methodology documentation and example reports.
