A government authority in Norfolk, VA is seeking a qualified vendor to provide integration and support services for an Over Height Vehicle Detection System Plus (OHVDS+) at the I–64 westbound approach to the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) facility.

The project scope includes integrating LiDAR-based sensors, which will be mounted on gantry structures (installed by others), to detect over height and wide-load vehicles. When non-compliant vehicles are detected, the system should transmit relevant data to central software and activate Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Flashing Beacons positioned downstream, both of which are to be installed separately. The central software must be capable of displaying vehicle information, including images, and provide a visual alarm on the OHVDS+ Workstation.

Vendors will be expected to ensure seamless integration and reliable operation of all detection, data transmission, and alerting components within the system.
