Vendor needs to provide over height vehicle detection system integration plus services to the government authority located in Norfolk, VA. The Over Height Vehicle Detection System Plus (OHVDS+) shall be capable of detecting over height and wide–load vehicles for the I–64 westbound approach to the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) facility. The detectors shall consist of LiDAR sensors mounted on gantry structures that will be installed by others, as shown on the plans. Transmit non–compliant vehicle data to the central software and trigger the Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Flashing Beacons (both installed by others under separate contract) located downstream of each sensor site. Central software capable of displaying vehicle information, including vehicle image, and triggering a visual alarm on the OHVDS+ Workstation.
