The City of Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive open payment fare collection system. The proposed solution should include both hardware and software components, with back-office software capable of managing fare rules and processing transactions. Vendors are expected to provide detailed information about the system's hardware, including unit and mounting hardware dimensions, model numbers, and data sheets, as well as screenshots and demonstrations of the software if available.

Additional requirements include the submission of network architecture diagrams and thorough explanations of the proposed system's security and privacy measures to ensure protection against unauthorized access. Vendors should specify the location where the hosted software and associated data will reside, as well as present disaster recovery plans. Reporting and data analysis capabilities must also be detailed, and any necessary support or requirements from the City's IT group for successful deployment should be clearly outlined.

A non-mandatory site meeting is scheduled for February 11, 2026, and questions regarding the project must be submitted by February 17, 2026.
