The Health Readiness Contracting Office, East Services Branch, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Rees Scientific Corporation for preventive maintenance and support services of Rees Temperature Sensitive Medical Product (TSMP) Monitoring Systems. These systems are located at the Ireland Army Health Clinic in Fort Knox, KY.
The scope of this procurement includes preventive maintenance, repair, validation and calibration, as well as hardware and system software support and upgrades for government-owned TSMP monitoring systems. Proper maintenance ensures continuous monitoring, with storage temperature ranges maintained between 2–8 degrees Celsius, in accordance with Food and Drug Administration requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable Defense Health Agency management directives.
This sole source procurement is justified due to the specialized nature of the services required and the expectation that award to any source other than Rees Scientific Corporation would result in substantial duplication of costs or unacceptable delays for the government.
