North Carolina is seeking vendors to provide next generation mobile energy systems (MES) designed for enhanced resilience, smart management, and sustainable energy integration. These MES platforms must be capable of independent operation separate from the main power grid, ensuring continuity of essential services during emergencies and disaster scenarios.

The requested systems should feature advanced smart energy management technologies such as real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics, and robust cybersecurity to protect against evolving threats. Proposals should demonstrate integration of innovative technologies that improve on current MES models in terms of reliability, efficiency, safety, and operational flexibility. Systems must enhance resilience against both natural disasters and cyber or power system disruptions.

Vendors are expected to incorporate sustainable energy resources with options for hybridization—combining conventional fuels with emerging and mature energy sources such as hydro, solar, battery storage, and backup generation. Submissions should include technical specifications, capacity ratings, performance benchmarks, and conceptual designs for the MES variants under consideration.
