The state of Michigan is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a fully integrated, standards-based Next Generation 911 (NG911) call handling system. This solution must be robust, scalable, and IP-based, offering high levels of resiliency, interoperability, cybersecurity, and forward-looking functionality to meet evolving public safety needs.
The required system should function primarily as a cloud-based platform capable of processing administrative calls, emergency 911 calls, and radio communications. Key features include support for multimedia call processing—such as voice, text, video, and real-time text (RTT)—as well as interoperability with Computer-Aided Dispatch (Tyler Enterprise) and radio systems (Motorola MCC7500). The system must provide reliable availability, fault tolerance, and options for remote call-taking and virtual emergency communications center (ECC) support, all while maintaining enhanced cybersecurity and system integrity.
