The City of Missouri seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive neighborhood planning services for its registered neighborhood associations. The selected firm will produce neighborhood plans tailored to each area, guiding development and revitalization efforts in collaboration with local residents. Fundamental planning components should be reviewed with residents to ensure plans reflect neighborhood needs and values.
Key duties include identifying assets and locations of neighborhood value for preservation, formulating strategies to improve access to commercial services and amenities, and developing approaches to expand and market neighborhood identity. Additionally, the vendor will identify preferred redevelopment areas, recommend ways to expand housing and services, and propose methods for organizational growth, community engagement, and neighborhood betterment.
Vendors will be responsible for collecting and analyzing neighborhood data, establishing profiles and vision statements, and identifying opportunities to leverage unique assets for economic vitality and livability. Assessments of the public realm, recommendations for public investment, and strategies for branding and promoting neighborhood identity are also required.
