DESCRIPTION

The contracting organization seeks a provider to deliver neighborhood engagement artist residencies and creative optimism grants. The program will provide creative arts resources to neighborhood host and partner organizations in each council district, offering direct access to contemporary teaching artists.

The selected provider will design and manage a series of free or low-cost, community-relevant workshops that culminate in public presentations. The program will also sponsor participatory, multi-session residencies led by qualified teaching artists.

The initiative is intended to support organizations with little or no existing arts programming by helping them test or develop new services. It will also encourage the integration of an artist employee, a new program branch within an organization’s core services, or a new collaboration with a local arts organization.
