The Facilities and Engineering Services directorate within the Air Traffic Organization's Technical Operations service unit oversees the lifecycle management of the National Airspace System (NAS) facilities infrastructure. This mission encompasses the safe establishment, modernization, replacement, and sustainment of NAS, while aspiring to build a high-performance organization valuing innovation and quality service to meet the Federal Aviation Administration's evolving needs.
To achieve these goals, the FAA has identified 13 functional work areas crucial for delivering comprehensive solutions across Safety, Execution, and Management pillars. The NSEMS initiative further organizes work into eight program management areas, under which contractors will support a wide range of professional, technical, program, and planning activities. Contractors will provide support not only to current NAS operations but also to the integration and development initiatives for future entrants into the NAS framework.
This contract opportunity requires providers to deliver diverse and scalable resources, encompassing multiple labor and skill categories, to effectively meet the demanding needs of the FAA's mission. Additional details are available in the official attachments to the RFP.
Best-fit vendors:
• Firms experienced in large-scale federal program and facilities management
• Providers with expertise in technical and professional services for airspace or critical infrastructure
• Organizations capable of managing diverse teams across multiple labor categories
• Companies familiar with FAA procurement processes and regulatory environments
