Upper Gwynedd Township is soliciting bids for cleaning services at the Township Administration Building, Police Department, Public Works Building, Community Center, and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope of work includes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks such as trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, and restocking supplies. The contract term is for one year, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms at the Township's discretion.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be licensed and insured to perform commercial cleaning and/or janitorial services in Pennsylvania
  • Must have a minimum of three years of experience in municipal or commercial cleaning and/or janitorial services
  • Must provide three recent references of similar work performed
  • Must attend the mandatory on-site walk-through of the facilities
  • Must submit a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount
  • Must provide a Performance Bond of at least 100% of the full contract price
  • All cleaning personnel must be bonded
  • All cleaning personnel must be fingerprinted and pass a Nationwide Criminal History Background Check every two years
  • All cleaning personnel must complete CJIS Security Training every two years
  • Must maintain General Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate
  • Must maintain Workers' Compensation insurance as required by Pennsylvania law
  • Must maintain Automobile Liability insurance with a $1,000,000 combined single limit
  • Must name Upper Gwynedd Township as an additional insured on all liability policies
