The City of Long Beach is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive production, administrative, and technical support services for the Long Beach Municipal Band. The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting an inventory and assessment of the band’s music library, managing event coordination, and providing essential support throughout the concert season.

Key responsibilities include assisting with the identification, auditioning, and selection of guest vocalists, as well as distributing and collecting music materials while maintaining accurate records of borrowed or returned scores. The vendor will also prepare rehearsal and performance folders for musicians, coordinate or prepare uniforms and other visual production elements, and oversee the setup, operation, and teardown of sound, stage, and lighting equipment, including audio recording systems.

Additional duties include managing the distribution of music throughout the season, ensuring readiness for last-minute repertoire changes, recruiting and confirming professional substitute musicians, and tracking hours worked by all involved personnel. Effective communication and scheduling with selected vocalists for both rehearsals and performances are also required.
