The City of Los Angeles is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive production support services for its municipal band throughout all phases of the performance season. The selected vendor will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Municipal Band’s music library, including conducting inventory, repairing and organizing sheet music, cataloging resources, and procuring or renting new musical arrangements as directed by the Conductor and approved by the agency.

Additional responsibilities include preparing and distributing rehearsal and performance folders, maintaining accurate records of all materials, and providing ongoing support to the Conductor as a Music Librarian / Conductor’s Assistant. For technical operations, the vendor will assess, maintain, and prepare the band’s sound system—including equipment evaluation, repair coordination, and conducting a test run at an outdoor venue prior to opening night.

The scope of work also encompasses managing immediate music distribution needs during the concert season, tracking and recording staff work hours, and submitting weekly payroll reports. The vendor will further coordinate guest vocalist participation, handling scheduling, communication, and logistical support for rehearsals, sound checks, and performances.
