Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a robust stakeholder engagement plan, offering structured opportunities for input through public meetings, online surveys, and direct outreach to regional and legislative partners. The selected firm will also conduct localized economic impact analyses, assess regional economic and employment trends, identify current and emerging industry clusters, and evaluate sector growth potential using data from economic development organizations and workforce boards.

Additional tasks involve coordinating site tours of up to 12 key Port assets, supporting internal team communication, providing monthly invoicing, and maintaining ongoing collaboration with Port staff, who will share relevant public feedback and sentiment throughout the process. Ultimately, the consultant will guide updates to the SBP’s goals, priorities, and policies, ensuring the Port’s strategic direction is responsive to stakeholder needs and evolving market dynamics.
