The United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Operational Technology Division is requesting information for a mobile forensic distributed solution. The objective is to enable forensic mobile device extraction capabilities across all FBI-operated physical sites, which number over 400 locations, as well as during field and overseas operations.
Current practices require either maintaining extraction hardware and licenses at each site or transporting equipment as needed, which is inefficient and costly—especially for remote sites with minimal annual needs. The FBI seeks innovative solutions to manage and deploy these capabilities on demand, reducing unnecessary hardware and license expenditures and streamlining device extraction during urgent situations. Responding solutions should fulfill the technical requirements outlined in the agency's contemplated specifications.
