A local government in British Columbia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional services for the implementation of modern device management through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. The goal of this project is to design, implement, and facilitate the transition to a secure, standardized, and operationally supportable endpoint management platform tailored for a small municipal environment.
The selected vendor will be responsible for planning, configuring, testing, and transitioning the Intune and Autopilot solutions into operational use. This includes a comprehensive review of the current Microsoft 365 Business Premium licensing to determine sufficiency for proposed functionalities, with documentation and recommendations for any licensing gaps, optional add-ons, or identified constraints and their cost implications.
The engagement will also involve assessing the existing endpoint environment, which includes Windows, iOS, and Android devices; evaluating current device counts; and reviewing relevant Group Policy Objects and installation scripts that may require migration or reimplementation. Consideration must be given to Entra ID configuration, focusing on areas such as identity protection, device cleanup, the management of stale objects, naming standards, and group strategy. Vendors are expected to address project risks, assumptions, constraints, and clarify client responsibilities.
The device inventory includes 54 domain-joined staff Windows devices, 4 non-domain joined kiosk or guest-access Windows devices, and 4 non-domain joined area director Windows devices. The anticipated contract period is one year.
