The Division in Florida is seeking vendors to provide two microfilm conversion scanners along with corresponding software. The desired solution must efficiently digitize microfilm images, supporting output formats such as TIFF Group 4, PNG, PDF, JPEG, and multi-page TIFF. The solution should also be capable of generating word-searchable PDFs and support scanning resolutions ranging from 300 to 600 DPI.
Additional requirements include a graphical user interface, integrated OCR capabilities for enabling text searches within digitized images, and dynamic, viewable image editing. The system should support saving and sharing files via email and USB drives, and may feature automatic deletion of temporary files for enhanced security. Administrative controls must allow for managing operator permissions. The equipment should offer fully automatic focusing and allow for viewing images at various optical zoom levels, with the option to magnify details up to 1600% without adjusting the standard zoom setting. These scanners and software are intended to streamline microfilm digitization and improve accessibility of archival records.
