DESCRIPTION
The district is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive medical third-party administrator services, including claims administration, medical case management, utilization review and disease management, medical network access, COBRA administration, telemedicine, and wellness services. The selected administrator will provide claims forms, receive and process claims and benefit payments according to plan designs, correspond with participants and providers when additional information is required, and determine benefits payable under the district’s medical necessity guidelines and benefit plan terms.
The vendor will provide independent claims accuracy and audit support, identify pre-approved or pre-authorized claims audit firms, and offer designated account management personnel. Required services also include 24/7 telemedicine, employee access to an online claims portal, employer and consultant access to claims reporting, customer service Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Arizona time, benefit presentations, open enrollment meeting support, identification card generation and mailing, and inclusion of pharmacy benefit management and employee assistance program information.
The administrator will manage eligibility according to district criteria and accept electronic eligibility files from the Benefits Administration system, Employee Access, formerly known as iVisions. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by September 14, 2026, and proposals are due October 2, 2026.
