DESCRIPTION

The State of Rhode Island seeks a vendor to provide a Medicaid Oasis Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) module solution to implement, manage, and operate an open and hybrid EVV system. This system must accommodate provider agencies using third-party or alternate EVV systems, allowing them to continue with their current technology while integrating with the state's Medicaid Enterprise System (MES), known as the Medicaid Optimized and Adaptable State Information System.

The selected solution will support integration with existing Medicaid management information systems, including claims and encounters processing, financial management, provider services, pharmacy drug management, third party liability, and surveillance and utilization review subsystems. These diverse systems primarily exchange data through secure file transfer protocols (SFTP). With increasing complexity and costs associated with legacy systems, the new module is expected to implement robust visit verification methods, such as authenticating and recording visits via GPS, biometrics, and other technologies.

Additional requirements include efficient integration with both the Aggregator and Alternate EVV systems, as well as accurate processing of visit scheduling, verification, and billing. The vendor will also provide system integrator and operational data store services to ensure seamless operations across Medicaid's IT environment.
