A school district in Michigan is seeking proposals for the implementation of a scalable, standards-based mass notification system designed for K–12 environments. The proposed system should be non-proprietary and may utilize VoIP/SIP-based or hybrid technologies to meet public address (PA), intercom, and paging needs throughout the district.
The solution must support all-call and zone paging, intercom/talkback functionality at all required locations, and seamless emergency notification and alert integration. Integration with the district's existing MiTel MiVB phone system is required, enabling announcements from any analog or VoIP phone. Flexible, software-defined zoning must be provided, with clear documentation of supported zones. Additionally, the system must feature a priority emergency override channel capable of superseding all other communications, and integrate with the Raptor Emergency Management platform.
A mandatory pre-bid walk-through will take place on February 10, 2026. All vendor questions should be submitted by February 18, 2026.
