The primary objective is to facilitate the establishment and operation of remote buying locations, which will enhance opportunities for commercial fishers and bolster efforts to control invasive carp populations.

By increasing market access, the initiative supports the development of a commercial harvest-based invasive carp control program. This approach is intended to significantly increase biomass removal, thereby reducing the abundance and distribution of invasive carp in Arkansas waters. The contract period for these support services is one year.
