An agency in Vermont is seeking a qualified marketing consultant with expertise in conservation-focused communication to support the launch of a Marketing Conservation program for local farmers. The consultant will collaborate closely with Community Engagement and Communications staff to enhance the branding, storytelling, and digital presence of selected Vermont farms committed to conservation practices.
Key responsibilities include attending a one-day conservation training in February 2026 to engage with cohort members and gain insight into project objectives and producer perspectives. The consultant will conduct in-depth, one-on-one brand and mission interviews with four participating producers, focusing on conservation values, farm identity, and distinctive story themes. Based on these interviews, the consultant will develop an outline for a conservation-driven marketing plan for each farm, offering verbal and visual branding recommendations aligned with their mission and environmental stewardship.
Additional tasks include creating a dedicated conservation webpage for each farm—either integrated into existing sites or using mutually agreed-upon platforms—and formulating a tailored social media strategy. The consultant will also be responsible for producing media assets, such as a short video and a curated set of photographs for each farm, as well as providing templates or ready-made posts to support at least six Facebook or Instagram posts per farm. This opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in conservation storytelling, branding, and digital content development within the agricultural sector.
