The government authority in Sandy Springs, Georgia, is seeking a vendor to provide loop a fiber project services. The project involves the installation of new fiber optic communications systems to support both current and future communication needs throughout the city.
Scope of work includes installing new fiber trunklines as well as replacing existing trunklines along several city corridors, collectively known as 'loop a.' Additionally, the project requires the installation of new fiber drop cables to 22 existing traffic signals. Work will cover underground and aerial fiber installation, conduit installation, pathway preparation, placement of pullboxes, fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, termination, hardware and enclosure installation, hub cabinet and hub switch installation, integration, testing and certification of fiber strands, area restoration, and coordination with utility providers.
Included are the provision and installation of pullboxes, field switches, hub cabinet, and related infrastructure. Coordination is also required to ensure successful installation and system integration.
