The state of California is seeking a vendor to provide replacement services for its current laboratory information management system (LIMS). The new system must enable administrators to create, assign, and manage user roles with adjustable permissions. Key security features required include session resumption after auto log-off, remote workstation access, comprehensive audit trails specifying user activity, and secure authentication protocols for external users. The system must also monitor external password changes, enforce regular resets, and support data deletion capabilities following established retention periods.
Additional functionality should include the ability to upload regulatory forms (such as CDPH, DCC, or ISO documents) to sample records, a real-time dashboard displaying the status of each sample throughout its lifecycle, and mobile access for efficient sample tracking and field data collection. The system is also expected to provide traceability of reagent lot numbers to test results and allow customers read-only access to limited information. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted by January 2, 2026.
