A government authority in New York is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive renovation services for a justice hall. The project includes the removal and disposal of the existing drop ceiling, as well as the removal and temporary storage of the judge’s bench (approximately 3’ x 34’) for later reinstallation. Work will also involve extending the raised floor behind the judge’s bench using 2x6 framing, reinstalling the bench, and installing new woodwork and trim.
Additional requirements include installing a new countertop for the bench, which must accommodate existing electronics, repairing and cleaning damaged sheetrock areas, and painting courtroom walls with two coats of paint. The scope further covers installing a new drop ceiling system (including wall angle, main runners, 4’ and 2’ T–bars), 2’ x 2’ ceiling tiles, and making floor surface preparations including underlayment and vapor barrier installation. The final step is the installation of Life Proof flooring throughout the courtroom and around the judge’s bench.
All work must adhere to the required specifications and be completed to high professional standards to ensure the facility's functionality and aesthetics are preserved.
Best-fit vendors:
• Experienced commercial renovation or construction firm
• Proven expertise with courtroom or government building renovations
• Licensed and insured to operate in New York State
• Ability to manage all phases of ceiling, flooring, and carpentry work
