The city seeks a vendor-hosted, cloud-based inventory management platform that is accessible via web browser and mobile devices. The solution must be a mature, market-ready SaaS platform with proven functionality in inventory management, not a custom-built or developer-created solution. Core requirements include a user-friendly interface, mobile application, multi-location inventory tracking (minimum six locations), product categorization, manual and bulk upload capabilities (CSV or similar), barcode scanning, role-based user access for approximately twelve users, inventory alerts, and order fulfillment tracking.
The platform is required to integrate with Square, supporting synchronization of inventory levels and sales data—real-time integration is preferred, though batch-based methods are acceptable. Additional preferences include API capabilities, reporting and analytics features, support for inventory audits and cycle counts, and primarily non-serialized inventory tracking with an optional serialized tracking feature. The selected vendor will be responsible for full system implementation and onboarding, data setup and limited migration from spreadsheets/manual records, staff training, and ongoing technical support.
Best-fit vendors:
• Provider of established, market-ready SaaS inventory management platforms
• Experience integrating with Square for real-time inventory and sales synchronization
• Proven track record with multi-location inventory management
• Capable of delivering onboarding, migration, and technical support
• Familiarity with municipal or public sector clients
