Summary:
Rhode Island seeks an IP-based intrusion detection system with hybrid legacy support, remote management, and expanded wireless capabilities.
(1) Vendor needs to provide intrusion detection system. – Agency requires its next–generation IDS to be Internet Protocol (IP)–based. – The system must support secondary failover communications, enable two–way communication between panels and field devices, and allow for full remote management of both. – It should also offer optional monitoring software and be capable of integrating with either the Motorola Alta Cloud video platform or Mercury–based access control systems. – Recognizing that the existing infrastructure cannot be replaced immediately, agency requires a defined migration path or support plan for the legacy Napco Gemini 3200 and 9600 panels. – The new system must accommodate a hybrid deployment model, allowing legacy and modern components to operate concurrently during the transition period. – Agency also seeks expanded wireless capabilities for field devices, particularly duress and panic buttons. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than December 4, 2025.
