Internet Content Filtering Solution

The issuing organization in Utah is seeking a mature, full-featured internet content filtering solution designed specifically for educational environments. The solution must be scalable to meet the varying technical and economic needs of stakeholder organizations and should remain focused on core content filtering capabilities rather than unrelated security functions.

The requested platform must include a parent portal that allows parents and guardians to monitor and manage student internet access. This portal should provide visibility into student activity and support appropriate control settings in accordance with applicable legislation. The solution must also support regulatory compliance across multiple use cases, including devices operating both on and off the local network, organization-owned devices, devices connected to the organization’s wireless network, and non-organization-owned devices.

In addition to internet content filtering, vendors are invited to provide information on related platform capabilities commonly used in K–12 environments, such as classroom management tools, student safety and monitoring features, rostering integrations, and similar services. The solution should be flexible to deploy, easy to manage, and capable of integrating with standard directory services for user management and logging.
