DESCRIPTION

The City of Austin requires a contractor to perform interior and exterior window cleaning, including frames, sills, mullions, ledges, screens, and high dusting for interior surfaces. Services are to be provided on an as-needed basis for multiple city departments, including the Austin Convention Center Department, Austin Facilities Management, the Library Department, the Parks and Recreation Department, Austin Water, and Austin Energy. The contract term is an initial 24 months with the option for three additional 12-month extensions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have a minimum of five years of experience in commercial window cleaning for interior and exterior building maintenance
Must have experience in the use of equipment including powered platforms, staging equipment, Bosun’s chairs, and lifts
Must maintain a sufficient number of employees to perform services
Must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
Must designate an English-speaking supervisor point of contact available 24 hours a day
Must provide proof of experience within five business days upon request
Must carry required insurance coverages including Worker’s Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, and Environmental Impairment/Pollution Liability
Must comply with the City's Living Wage Program ($22.15 per hour)
Must complete City of Austin Wage Theft Training within 30 days of contract execution
