This RFP seeks a vendor to provide an integrated library system and discovery layer solution for a districtwide implementation in Florida. The system must support a union catalog with site-specific circulation rules, patron groups, and collection management, while enabling centralized oversight and reporting by HCPS.

The proposed solution should deliver core library functionalities such as circulation, cataloging, collection management, reporting, and a user-friendly discovery layer/OPAC accessible to students and families. It must strike a balance between districtwide visibility and support for individual school requirements, offering intuitive interfaces that minimize actions required for routine tasks. Age-appropriate dashboards for various user groups and features such as public OPAC access, consistent book cover display, and configurable visual/auditory cues are required.

The system must also support offline circulation with automatic transaction synchronization when connectivity is restored. Advanced cataloging tools are essential, including support for RDA, authority control, batch record management, and metadata management across multiple locations. Additional tools for efficient copy cataloging, item management, and collection organization are also required. The initial contract period is for one year.
