The government authority in Oklahoma is seeking a vendor to supply, remotely host, and implement an Integrated Library System (ILS) that integrates seamlessly with their Kardex Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). The required ILS must support complex inventory, tracking, and migration needs, particularly for managing newly received materials and supporting ongoing cataloging and processing workflows.
Key project requirements include real-time data exchange capabilities with the Kardex system through API, SIP2, NCIP, or another mutually agreed interface. The system should allow library staff to record and view Kardex storage locations, search inventory by purchase order, vendor, ISBN, or title, and display Kardex-specific location information within the ILS. Additional functionalities include barcode scanning for status updates, generation of individualized pick lists, and the ability to synchronize item and location identifiers through bi-directional communication. Automatic status updates for items as they move into or out of Kardex, as well as tools for inventory reconciliation and reporting, are essential.
During migration, the selected vendor will be responsible for developing connectivity with the Kardex system, coordinating with support vendors to test and document integration points, and delivering comprehensive integration plans. Ongoing support for system upgrades and detailed mapping of reconciliation workflows are also anticipated within the scope of this contract.
