DESCRIPTION


A government authority in New Mexico is seeking an insurance services provider to deliver brokerage, consulting, administration, and loss prevention services. The selected offeror will provide professional staff with extensive experience in insurance pooling for educational institutions, including seven full-time professionals supporting brokerage, consulting, and administrative activities.

Responsibilities include revising, issuing, and distributing summaries of coverage; responding to members’ auditor requests for year-end premium and loss information; advising on potential exposures; developing and annually renewing claim procedures for workers’ compensation, property, and liability; and evaluating the authority’s insurance and self-insurance structure, benefits, costs, risks, and alternative risk financing methods.

The contractor will also provide administrative services to the authority and its members, assist third-party administrators in reviewing the risk management manual, and establish loss prevention and control services. Loss prevention services will remain part of the contract and will not be unbundled. The offeror is expected to provide the equivalent of 18.5 loss-prevention personnel.
