The state of New Hampshire is seeking a provider for a comprehensive inmate communications system within its correctional facilities. The solution should integrate phone services, on-site and remote video visitation, electronic mail delivery, and a tablet-based education system. Vendors are required to detail features of the education system, available entertainment options, data and physical security measures for tablets, charging solutions, and protocols to prevent fraudulent activities.
The communication system must include rugged phones suitable for correctional environments, installed in all inmate housing units, and support both collect and prepaid calls, with preference for international call capabilities. The phone system should allow for the recording of inmate calls and provide investigative tools for law enforcement to search and monitor communications. Tablets integrated into the system may offer additional services and must include cameras that activate only during scheduled video visitations, utilizing digital masking to ensure visitor privacy. The video visitation component should also employ background masking technology on wall-mounted kiosks. The contract is set for a five-year term.
