The Pinellas County School Board requires a contractor to perform indoor air quality testing and lab analysis for asbestos and mold. The scope includes investigation and mitigation services, utilizing an in-house laboratory staffed by microbiologists and environmental analysts. The contract period is from December 16, 2026, to December 15, 2027, with an option to renew for one additional two-year period. The District also reserves the right to unilaterally extend the term for up to three additional thirty-day periods.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a Florida Licensed Business
  • Must hold a Florida Asbestos License
  • Must be a Licensed Mold Assessor
  • Must hold Florida Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Certification (AIHA)
  • Must be NVLAP Certified
  • Must own an in-house (AIHA) & (NVLAP) laboratory
  • Biological testing laboratories must be within 25 miles of Walter Pownal Service Center
  • Must have a business license under the same legal entity for at least five continuous years
  • Must provide documented evidence of at least 5 indoor air quality projects within the last 5 years
  • Must obtain Level 2 background clearance for all personnel with access to school grounds
  • Must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference on October 28, 2026
