A transit agency in Virginia is seeking a vendor to enhance its real-time passenger information system for fixed route bus, rail, and ferry services. The primary goal is to improve the completeness and quality of real-time data, thereby elevating the customer experience for public transit users.

The envisioned solution must enable the creation and management of service adjustments outside of the existing Computer-Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) system. The system should facilitate input of detour information using the Trip Modifications entity of the General Transit Feed Specification – Real Time (GTFS-RT). Additional requirements include generating accurate, disruption-aware real-time arrival predictions, and providing a live operational dashboard for monitoring system performance and service status in real time.

The contract is expected to cover a one-year period.
