A Virginia airport is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a secure, TSA-compliant identity management system (IDMS). The proposed solution should be implemented initially in a test environment before transitioning to full production. Vendors are invited to propose system architectures, which may be on-premise or hybrid (on-premise with preferred cloud solutions such as Azure, AWS, or other providers), ensuring the solution remains cost-effective and operationally efficient while retaining full functionality.
The IDMS must utilize encrypted communication, employing at least Transport Layer Security between application tiers. Vendors must detail requirements for servers, networks, databases, storage, and backup systems essential for system operations. Security is paramount, and the system must support firewalls, intrusion detection, VPNs, virus protection, enterprise-grade encryption, and robust access controls—meeting all TSA security standards. Additionally, the IDMS should include or support system-level tools and protocols for network intrusion detection and performance monitoring by airport IT applications.
The contract will be for a three-year period, with specified deadlines for submitting questions related to the RFP.
