The City of Broomfield, Colorado is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive hillside restoration services. The project involves the decommissioning and restoration of approximately 870 linear feet of trail, returning it to its pre-disturbed, natural condition. The scope of work includes activities such as grading, slope stabilization, erosion control, and native grass seeding. Additional tasks include the installation of fencing, a rock bench, and a crusher fines trail, along with all labor, materials, and necessary incidental items to complete the project.
Specific responsibilities will include mobilization, construction surveying and staking, installation of vehicle tracking control, construction and silt fencing, and clearing and grubbing (with no tree removal or protection required). The vendor will also handle demolition and removal of existing fencing and unauthorized trails, earthwork including cut/fill, soil export and topsoil import, and the transport and placement of retaining and salvaged logs provided by the City. Further requirements consist of installing a 6-inch thick crusher fines trail, both low- and high-visibility fencing, soil preparation, fine grading, broadcast seeding with saturated native seed, installation of an erosion control blanket, and sediment control logs.
This contract will cover a period of two years. All questions regarding the project must be submitted by December 2, 2025.
