A government authority in Napa, CA is seeking a vendor to provide improvements for a health treatment center. The project involves renovating and converting a 72-bed staff secure re-entry building, currently used for probation administration, into a Health and Human Services facility. The new facility will include a mental health resource center, sobering and detox units, and residential treatment programs.

The scope of work encompasses minimal renovations to three existing dormitories to modify power, lighting, and switches at each bed, with two dormitories designated for males and one for females. Another dormitory will be divided for male and female detox spaces, with the addition of a new restroom, showers, and a staff station, as well as modifications to sleeping areas. Interior reconfigurations include converting storage and exam rooms to accommodate male sobering spaces, adding and modifying doors, reengineering a shear wall, and repurposing existing sleeping and administration areas for female sobering and a mental health resource center.

Additional aspects of the project involve converting offices into bedrooms, opening up a copy room for living space, modifying toilets and showers, and installing new furnishings and window coverings. The renovations will include installing a movable partition in a classroom, constructing structural modifications such as new columns and beams, creating a new public entry vestibule with fencing and specialized hardware, and building new fences and gates to separate male and female courtyards. The project also requires modifications to facility systems to support the intended uses.
