SUMMARY

Seeking a creative firm to develop a scalable visual identity system and branded materials for a statewide office in Hawaii, supporting both public outreach and education.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have a minimum of five years of experience providing professional branding, graphic design, website development, marketing, and communications services.
Must have successfully completed at least three projects within the last five years involving branding, visual identity development, website design, or related communications services of similar size and complexity.
At least one project must involve a government agency, public safety organization, educational institution, Native Hawaiian organization, nonprofit organization, or similar mission-driven organization.
Must identify individual(s) or organization(s) that will provide cultural consultation services for Native Hawaiian culture, history, language, or community engagement.
Must provide a minimum of three client references for projects completed within the last five years.
Must maintain commercial general/product liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
Must maintain comprehensive automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000 per person/accident.
Must be registered with the Hawaii Compliance Express or provide valid hardcopies of tax clearance, unemployment insurance, and workers' compensation certificates.
Must be registered to do business in the State of Hawaii.

DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide graphic design, branding, and creative services to develop an inaugural visual identity system. The goal is to create a professional, culturally informed, accessible, and enduring identity that reflects the office’s statewide mission, authority, and responsibilities, with a commitment to protecting people, property, natural resources, cultural resources, and communities across Hawaii.

Deliverables include an electronically scalable visual identity that maintains image quality across various formats and products, a vehicle graphics package, pop-up display backdrops, pop-up tent graphics, event signage concepts, PowerPoint and public meeting templates, as well as a comprehensive Brand Standards Guide. The scope also involves the design of materials for wildfire public education campaigns.

All branding and creative solutions must capture the unique cultural and geographic aspects of Hawaii and convey the office's dedication to statewide safety and resource protection.
